1What you can upload
- your own rolls and matches, from training or competition;
- competition matches, including matches published online, for a coach’s analysis;
- footage of other people, when you have permission to share it. Every submission asks you to confirm that.
A breakdown is our coach’s analysis of the footage: the voiceover, the timestamped moments and the written report. That analysis is the product we sell.
2What we do not accept
- footage of anyone under 13;
- nudity, or anything filmed in a changing room or bathroom;
- fights outside a gym or a sanctioned event;
- footage recorded to mock, harass or embarrass someone, or with personal details such as a home address shown;
- footage that is not grappling.
A coach can mark footage as unreviewable, and your credit comes back. We remove anything in this list from the library as soon as we see it.
3Public and private breakdowns
The listed price is for a public breakdown. After the team checks it, a public breakdown may be added to the library, where anyone can watch the walkthrough and the timestamped moments. Your written report, the summary and the drill stay private to you.
A private breakdown costs $10 more and appears nowhere public. You choose public or private when you submit, before you pay.
Every breakdown of a member under 18 is checked by the team before it can go into the library.
4Competition footage
When a breakdown uses footage published by someone else, its page names the footage owner and links to the original video, below the video. In the library, a match plays only inside the coach’s breakdown. There is no playback of the match on its own and no download.
5Asking for a breakdown to come down
Every public breakdown page has a Request removal link. Anyone can use it: the member, a person shown in the video, a parent or guardian, or the owner of the footage. Signing in lets us reply to you. If you would rather not sign in, write to support@grapplingbreakdown.com with the page address.
- A request that involves someone under 18 is answered within 24 hours.
- Any other request is answered within 48 hours.
- A breakdown that comes down stays private in the member’s account. Nothing is deleted.
- Copies already shared by other people, and pages a search engine has already listed, cannot be recalled by us.
