Copyright policy

Every item in the public library is a breakdown produced by one of our own verified coaches, built on footage a member submitted for analysis: their own rolls and matches, or competition matches. The library plays that footage only inside the coach’s breakdown, with no downloads, and a breakdown page names the footage owner and links to the original video where we know it. There is no public upload path on this site.

Members may also submit links to externally hosted videos. We do not copy that video: the breakdown is our coach’s commentary, and the original asset remains at its external source.

The quickest route is the Report link on any breakdown in the public library, It goes straight to the moderation queue with the reason you pick, and we review it the same day.

To file a formal DMCA notice, email our designated agent at copyright@grapplingbreakdown.com with the subject line “DMCA Notice” and include the following details:

• your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
• identification of the work you say is infringed, and a link to the page on this site where it appears;
• a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law;
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for them;
• your physical or electronic signature.

Grappling Breakdown has registered a designated agent with the United States Copyright Office under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(2). We completed the registration on August 25, 2026.

The agent’s full contact record, including the mailing address and telephone number on file, is held and published by the Copyright Office in its public DMCA Designated Agent Directory, searchable under “Grappling Breakdown” or by the service provider ID above.

Email is the fastest route, and a person watches that inbox. If you need to serve a notice by post, write to the address on the Copyright Office record, and send the same notice to the address above so that we can act on it while the post is in transit.

We review every notice. A valid claim means immediate removal, and we tell the member what we removed and why. If the details are unclear, we may request more information before acting, to avoid improper removals.

Repeat infringers. A strike counts only when a valid notice targets content a member shared themselves. Breakdowns that Grappling Breakdown chose to publish in the library do not count against a member. Each strike is recorded and the member is told by email. An account with three strikes is reviewed and may be closed.

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake, or that you hold proper authorization, send a counter-notice to the same address. Please include your contact details, identification and former location of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury asserting your good-faith belief that the removal was erroneous, your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if you are outside the United States, any district in which we may be found), and your signature.

We forward valid counter-notices to the complaining party. If the claimant does not file a court action within the period the law allows, we may restore the material.

Filing a notice you know to be false is unlawful and can make you liable for damages and legal costs. Do not use this process to remove a breakdown you disagree with or dislike. Write to our support team instead.
